Part-time Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our remote development team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by designing, implementing, and executing test plans and cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and bugs using a bug-tracking system.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
- Provide clear and concise feedback to the development team on identified issues.
- Participate in the planning and execution of software releases.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency (experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Tester or QA Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team setting.
